Rules and Conditions of Entry

  1. Entry is open to all photographers, amateur and professional, worldwide.
  2. Entries will be judged in four classes: -
    A – Open. This covers all subjects and
    includes creative & monochrome. All images entered in the open section will be
    judged together.
    B – Photo Travel.
    C – Nature.
    D – People.
    This covers all people, from children to adults as individuals or in groups at work, rest or play.
  3. All acceptances count towards FIAP and PSA awards.
  4. Entries must be digital only and may be submitted via the internet or on a CD ROM. Entries submitted via the internet (preferred method) should be made via the Swansea Camera Club web page (www.swanseacameraclub.co.uk/international/sccinternational.html).
  5. CD ROMS WILL NOT BE RETURNED.
  6. The image must be a maximum of 1024 pixels wide and 768 pixels high
    (including any borders) at 72ppi or higher saved as a  JPG maximum size,
    and not more than  1 MB per image. Colour source sRGB or Adobe RGB 1998). Entries not meeting the specifications may not be displayed correctly.
    Please print entrant name on CD & CD sleeve.
  7. IMAGES MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING FILE REF APPEARING UNDER EACH IMAGE  NOTHING ELSE.
    Titles are entered in a separate section of the entry form.
    Surname-X-####-yz.jpg
    Where:
    Surname is the family name
    X first character (Initial) of the given name
    #### is the last 4 digits of the Telephone number
    Y is section Letter A B C or D
    Z is section entry number as on entry form(1-4)
    Example
    Philip Davies enters   open image 1 is titled Sunset over Gower. Tel nos 387567
    Then File ref will be
    Davies-P-7567-A1
    the title Sunset over Gower will be placed in title section of our entry form
    Repeat for each other image entered.
    Davies-p-7567-A2 Davies-P-7567-A3 Davies-P-7567-A4 and change the section letter for other sections entered.
  8. CD ROMS should follow the same file reference system as above and they will not be returned.
  9. Each entrant is limited to 4 images per class. THE SAME IMAGE MUST NOT
    BE SUBMITTED IN MORE THAN ONE CLASS.
  10. An entrant’s four images in each round will be judged at random .
  11. Images will be judged using a digital projector of 1024 by 768 native projection. No information about the entrant
    or country will be given to the selectors.
  12. Images  accepted in a previous Swansea Exhibitions, or which, in the opinion of the organisers, are too similar to those accepted in a previous Swansea Salons are not eligible.
  13. Permission to reproduce any image (at low resolution) in an internet exhibition and on our CD catalogue of the Salon is assumed.
  14. The organisers may refuse to accept an entry/image at their discretion.
  15. The exhibition assumes no liability for misuse of copyright. Copyright of the images accepted for catalogue and support of our Salon retained by the author.
  16. ONLY STERLING CHEQUES DRAWN ON UK BANKS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
  17. Confirmation of your entry will be posted on our internet page. Status page
  18. This competition is run under FIAP and PSA rules.
  19. All entrants will be sent a CD disk of the exhibition.
  20. The organisers regret that entries for which no fee, incorrect fee or where the entry fee is paid with a foreign cheque or money order, will not be judged or returned.
  21. SUBMISSION of an entry signifies acceptance of our conditions.
  22. AWARDS:- In recognition of the efficient management of the 2008 Swansea International we will award a number of FIAP & PSA medals and other awards in each class. Accepted entries will be eligible for FIAP awards and the PSA's "Who's Who" and Star Rating (CPID, Travel and Nature).
